Northvale is a No Knock community under ordinance #1101-2024. Solicitors, Peddlers and Canvassers are not permitted to sell door-to-door to homes that are listed on the No Knock Registry maintained by the Municipal Clerk.

All solicitors are required to obtain a permit from the Clerk if they wish to sell door-to-door in Northvale. When they receive that permit they also receive a list of homes on the No Knock Registry they are not permitted to approach. Registered residents will also receive a No Knock sticker they can display on their front window for visibility.
